Please Consider Taking the Twenty Five Days to Make a Difference Challenge

It doesn't take a lot of time to make a difference for someone else. In fact, I've learned that we can all give back in big ways just by taking the time to do one kind thing or good deed every single day. I made a commitment to do this for a year, and I blogged about it. Along the way, I learned a lot about myself and made some great friends too. I also learned how to turn something that was really sad for me into something good.

Now, I'm excited to have a chance to connect to other people who want to make a difference right here in this ning.

Please take the Twenty Five Days to Make a Difference Challenge. I know that if you do, it will inspire a lot of other people to do kind things that make this world a better place. Here is how it works:

1. Let us know you are starting your challenge by joining this group and introducing yourself.
2. Do one small thing to make a difference every day for at least twenty five days.
3. Keep us updated on your progress and the things that you are doing by leaving a comment or a blog post here at Working Together to Make a Difference. This will be motivating for the rest of us, and we can share ideas too.
4. Keep going! It will be great to see who can keep doing things for more than just Twenty Five Days.

I think this is going to be a lot of fun. Along the way, we'll celebrate our hard work too. Thanks for visiting! I hope you join our group.

Dear Laura. I was inspired by your idea because sometimes I think our children think that taking action means donating money, writing a letter, getting a speaker and deserved some recognition. I th...

Today I made a difference by lending my friend some change to buy breakfast with because she didn't have enough time to eat at home.

Hi Linda T. I'm glad you joined in on the group, I'm really happy you did, and hope you enjoy reading about everyone else's good deeds too.

I don't mind if you use a blog-- I wanted to leave how you wanted to record what you did open-ended.

Happy good-deeding,
Laura

Hi Laura. I'm one of Jenny Lucas students. I am thinking of joining in! I am considering using a blog to record my progress - do you mind me doing so??
I'll put several links into the blog.

Count me in Laura! My mind is racing just thinking about the possibilities that this challenge has for my students and I. I will definitely be a frequent contributor to this group space. Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this!

Brilliant idea Laura. Just the thing my students need to get them thinking of others. I return to school in two weeks. I intend to start our lesson with this page and get them motivated. We will be detailing how we are going for all to see. I teach Yr 9 Students - they are 14/15 yrs old. They are all really great kids so I'm looking forward to the experiences they are going to be able to share. Some of them may even join the space themselves.

Good on you Erik. I bet your parents are appreciative of all you are doing at home. Perhaps you can build on this and continue to do some of those things, like making your bed. I think you're off to a great start. : )
