Making it real
Often in schools we have a casual clothes day and bring in a gold coin donation which is given to a variety of charities. At Star of the Sea School, we recently had a can drive where every child in the school bought in a can of soup which was then donated to a local homeless shelter. To make this giving more real, we had a small ceremony where children sang “Heal The World”. Star Sprinklers
Can you do something kind for someone else from the bottom of your heart without expecting anything in return? If you said yes, congratulations! You're a Star Sprinkler. School Enviro Bags
South Australia have brought in a law to abolish all plastic bags, commencing on the 4th of May. To coincide with this date, our school have run a competition to design a logo for an Enviro Shopping Bag using this years Sea Week Theme "A Climate of Change". Every student in the school designed an entry as a part of our Science program. We had 2 winners: one for Years R-4 and one for Years 5-7.
